Overview

Word Count will take a body of text and give a perfect count of the number of words as well as characters in the text.

Word Count will take a body of text highlighted on the current tab and give a perfect count of the number of words as well as characters in the text. This is perfect for obtaining information on text documents, articles, and other websites and web apps that don't have this feature built-in! If a website is not supported, you can also paste text into the extension, and it will then count the amount of words and characters in that body.

There are so many of these type extensions that it challenges my patience. This extension requires you to click the icon after your selection. The pop up window attached at top is pretty big, but will disappear when you choose something else. I prefer this over the context menu extensions, though I prefer a live selection (counts as you select) view vs click-and-find out.
