Browsing through the Google cache
Webcache Browser is a Chrome Extension which allows you to navigate through the Google Cache without going back to the original site when you click a link. Retrieve an entire page, a site, a document even if the page display you an error. How many times did you go to a usefull page one day, and the day after it was unavailable with a gross 404 error ? It will never happen again.
There a two mains functionalities you can enable or not :
- Cache browsing which lets you navigate through the Google Cache from link to link
- Autodetection which lets you browse normally the internet, but shows you the cached version of a page when your currently page is unavailable
Moreover, you will have the possibility, via the context menu, to view the cached version of each webpage you visit in one click. Because just for one page, one information, it could be annoying to use the three-steps-way : enable the cache browsing option, get your infos and disable the cache browsing option.
One more interesting thing is that Webcache Browser let you know when you try to access a cached version of a page which did not exist in the cache database.
