Extract data from Twitter, Google, FaceBook & Instagram search results to create an HTML spreadsheet that can be loaded by Excel.
This tool is to support researchers using Web sourced data, in particular Twitter, Facebook, Google, Instagram. It takes information from timelines or search results pages and saves them as a spreadsheet-formatted HTML file, summarising key components (title, contents, date, rank, author etc.) The software understands the layout of the results pages, and extracts information as appropriate.
Version 3.6 is a long-overdue public update (May 2023).
Version 3.6.7 fixes a bug due to the Twitter name change (itself, arguably, a bug).
Version 3.8 includes support for gathering data from UKRI funding opportunity pages.
Version 3.6.9 removes network visualisation functionality that is based on an old version of D3.
