Overview
Optionally open new tabs in the front.
Causes new tabs to be brought to the front when opened. The standard behaviour of Chrome is to only open tabs to the front when pressing the Ctrl key - which is not an option for touch displays or people with physical disabilities. The Chrome devs have stated several times that they do not intend to change this. Features * Brings newly opened tabs in the front. * Popup menu allows you to disable it for a period of time. * Options page (using new Chrome v40 styles). * Change the button between toggle state or popup menu. * "Donation..." link can be hidden via the options page. * "Options..." link can be disable via options page (you can still open it by right-clicking or on the Extensions page). * A domain ignore list - if both tabs are on ignored domains then don't bring the new one to the front. * Hotkey support to toggle state and toggle ignoring domain. * Hold the "Ctrl" key to disable. * Locale support (translations welcome).

First of all, thank you for making this extension available for Chrome. In layman's terms, as of late, it works when it wants to work. So, for that reason, I'm giving it two stars. It just stopped working twice in less than 30 minutes. That's a little aggravating. Please fix it. Thank you.

There you see for "Tabs to the Front" Toggle disable state Alt+T. This can also be edited to a shortcut of your preference. Ho... Show more

Update Mar 6, 2024: Since the last update, I can't "toggle disable state" from the extension icon. It looks like the extension has a new owner. The support link to the original owner's Github page is broken (404), and the support email address has changed. This is worrying - I've seen other extensions (The Great Suspender) change hands and the new owner slipped in malware that went undetected for some time. I compared the current version (2.6.3) Javascript code to the previous version (2.6.... Show more
