SpeedDate allows a user to quickly add Google Calendar events by highlighting a date or using the Quick Add feature.
SpeedDate allows you to highlight a date and/or time in a web page to quickly create a Google Calendar event. For example, if you are reading an email from a client asking to set up a meeting tomorrow, just highlight and click on the Add button in the SpeedDate extension and fill in the other event details.
Included with this extension is a smart date handling algorithm for events so that you don't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to properly format a date. You can enter dates like "tomorrow", "next Friday", "December 21st, 2012", "12.21.2012", "21 December 2012 00:00:00 GMT",
Additionally, the Google Calendar Quick Add functionality is supported so it is super-easy to quickly add events to your Google Calendar. For example, you can just type "Tennis with John tomorrow 3pm-4pm" and everything else is done for you after hitting create.
SpeedDate uses oAuth to authenticate against your Gmail or Google Apps account over HTTPS for security.
