Overview

Displays the noise level chart and decibel values (min, average, and max) by measuring sound pressure level on a logarithmic scale

This extension displays the current environmental noise level in decibels (dB). The extension can be used to detect harmful environmental noises or to protect your hearing. This extension offers a popup view to precisely measure the sound pressure level (SPL) all around you by sampling your microphone's raw data using an AudioWorkletProcessor node. The extension displays RMS data in dB compared to a reference volume level. It supports a graphical view to see the last 300 samples in a graph. It also shows statistical results such as min, average, and max values of the recorded samples.
