Instant, precise scrolling via point & click.
SPEED + PRECISION = LESS DISTRACTION
Snap Scroll augments your reading and browsing experience by offering a new way to scroll: it lets you use a long click (great for one handed use) or Alt+click (faster) anywhere on the page to instantly scroll to that point. Due to the speed and precision, scrolling this way turns out to be less distracting. It's similar to turning a page in a book in that the reading flow is only interrupted very briefly and the eyes already know where to jump next: the top of the page.
In contrast, when using the scroll wheel it's hard to anticipate how far the content is exactly going to move so your eyes have to track it closely and you either have to go slow or risk overshooting and going back and forth to zero in on your initial target point. So why not just point there directly instead? It's a small irritation but it's constant and detracts from your focus.
Give Snap Scroll a try and you'll see how satisfying it is to have the paragraph, search result, or post you're reading snap neatly to the top with ease!
The control panel lets you disable Snap Scroll on a site-by-site basis so it won't get in the way of your web applications. You can also disable the long click or Alt+click actions entirely if you like.
