Trigger Google's Lucky search by ending your keyword with a capital letter or any custom symbol combination
When you are searching from Chrome's address bar, you can trigger Lucky search (instant redirect to the first search result) by typing your search keyword in a certain manner, for example:
- Ending it with a capital letter
- Ending it with any meaningless symbol (meaningless in terms of Google's search) like an exclamation mark or a dot.
- Ending it with a predefined symbol sequence, like !!!
- Searching in UPPERCASE
There is a wide variety of possible triggers available (see the options screenshot).
Why would you want to do a lucky search?
It is handy to use it as a quick shortcut to a known page that you use often.
Please note that due to current extension limitations (it is not possible to catch what you have typed in omnibar) lucky search might be triggered after showing a regular google search page for a few moments. Also because there is no way to separate omnibar search from a context menu search, all trigger rules apply for any search made from Chrome (omnibar, page context menu, "paste and search" menu).
