Introducing track colours along with a few more scrollbar colours!
Version 10 of Simple Scrollbars brings an options page where you can switch the color of the scrollbar.
Currently there are 5 colors but comment if you want another color in the next update.
Also the scrollbar has been made slightly thinner due to numerous 'fat' comments.
The scrollbar track is now a simple grey.
Comments/Suggestions are welcome.
If you really like this extension and you want to donate then you can do so through the options page.
Version 9.1: Simple update to work on all pages.Works on GMail now.
Version 9: New scrollbar track! Looks like the Mac OS X scrollbar track.
Also the black dots bug has been fixed.
@Glenn: Allright, I think i have fixed the bugs you were experiencing. Thanks for the comment about my extensions!
@糖多叻 OK, this version fixes the google reader bug.If i make it more slim then it becomes tough to use.
Version 8.5: Another small update; This one just changes the black colour of the track to a shade of grey similar to Windows scrollbars.
@糖多叻 Here, this version changes the track to grey. Its not transparent but since you didnt want black, i thought grey would be more suitable.
@Glenn I'm sorry but that is rather buggy and doesnt work properly.I mentioned that in a previous update.
This is the actual update to version 7.Version 7.1 was to avoid the transparency issues. So in this version the scrollbar track has been changed to a dark grey and the scroll buttons have been removed.Added a border which is not too visible but adds to the graphics.
@Евгений Thanks about version 7.1. The scrollbar disappears on the apple startpage due to some code on their site about Beatles..I think when they revert it back to normal then the scrollbars will work perfectly.
P.S.: I didnt update the screenshots but they look almost exactly like the ones in the image without the spaces at the top and bottom.
Due To the unanimous dislike for version 7, I have reverted this extension back to version 6.Also I have added a hover feature.
I have checked out the scrollbars and have made an update. This has been slightly altered to avoid the glitches.
Also I have made the scrollbar buttons transparent so the scrollbars blend into all sites.
@Lanel: I'll try to make aero versions of the themes you requested.
@Jamie: I could try but I doubt that I would succeed...The'yre a quite complex...
@Евгений: Sorry, I have no idea about Linux but I hope this update fixes it anyway.
Hope it works smoothly now!
By the way, If anyone wants another colour scheme for these scrollbars then feel free to post a comment.
This extensions has now been updated (again) to version 3.
To avoid the glitches pointed out I have removed the scrollbar buttons altogether.
The scrollbars should work smoothly now... but if there are still some glitches then post a comment and I'll have another look at the extension.
4 updates in 5 days!!
This one looks much better than version 3 but may have the glitches of version 2.
May have glitches... not certain but it does look better.
Comment if you see a glitch or if you dont like them.
Version 5 Is here: A darker variation of version 4.
Updated to Version 6.Removes the scrollbar buttons thus preventing any glitches.
VERSION 7 Is Here!!
I have removed the scrollbar track making it completely transparent except for the scroller.
Also I have brought back the scroll buttons and they too are transparent.
@Luke I tried to add an inactive feature but they are too buggy. But still.. besides that the scrollbars do look like the ones in iOS.
@Paul I'll think about the colour option but that would require JScript which Im not too familiar with...but till then you can always post a comment about the colours you want.
@Hiro I have removed the black dots issue; They no longer appear.
