Verifies messages posted from the SecurePost Android application
What Is SecurePost?
★ SecurePost is an Android client for Twitter and Facebook that adds a cryptographic signature to each tweet, allowing the integrity and authenticity of each post to be verified.
The SecurePost Android App is now available on the Google Play store, at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.securepost.securepost
★ The SecurePost Verifier is a Chrome Plugin that allows anyone to verify the integrity and authenticity of Tweets and Facebook posts. If a message was really posted by the account owner or an authorized user, and the content of the post has not been modified, the plugin will surround the verified post with a green border.
If someone hacks a user's Twitter or Facebook account, steals their password, or posts without using the SecurePost app, their posts will not be verified.
How Do I Use It?
When you are viewing a Twitter feed, Twitter account page, or Facebook page, SecurePost Verifier will automatically attempt to verify any posts that contain a signature generated by SecurePost. If a post is verified, it will be surrounded with a green border and shaded green.
Each post releases cryptographic information that the plugin uses to verify older posts. Because of this, sometimes a few of the most recent posts by a user cannot be verified until that user posts something new.
