Note: This app is currently in testing. It is a working game, but still has features added all the time and may have bugs.
v.0.10.0 - Fixed bugs. Added new on-screen buttons for restart and pause. New fallback mode replaces the previous one. Now creates a half-sized canvas for improved performance and support for screens as small as 600px tall. Other general improvements.
v.0.9.10 - Fixed ghost kill issue (this time for real). Reorganized the code. There may be some minor performance issues that I'm still looking into. But I had to fix the ghost kills right away.
v.0.9.9 - Fixed ghost kill issue (you kill enemy, then later, you get killed by nothing, where the enemy would have been if you hadn't killed it.). Moved framerate to 60fps by default, and added a 30fps fallback button. Other bugfixes and optimizations.
v.0.9.8 - Updated all graphics. New level backgrounds. Improved background drawing performance, which had a noticeable effect on overall performance. Other bug fixes.
v.0.9.3 - Added workaround for pause bug when in full screen mode. (The p key would not pause when in full screen. For some reason, p is disabled in full screen mode. Now the pause button is /.)
v.0.9.2 - Removed sound effects for licensing reasons. Now open source! http://code.google.com/p/project-helium/
v.0.9.1 - Enemy Laser UPDATE! Now the new enemies will shoot lasers. Currently they only shoot one per lifetime. Expect more developments now that the groundwork is laid.
v.0.9 - Added new enemy type, fixed some code.
v.0.8.5.2 - Fixed bug with leveling up.
v.0.8.5 - Another huge update! I finally got arrow keys to work properly without moving you around the browser window. So arrow keys and space bar are the new controls. Also, I added experimental full screen support. This means you can play the game without anything except the canvas element. Currently, only Chrome 15 and higher support this, and there are a few bugs, like not being able to pause. Look for more developments in this area. I strongly recommend Chromebook users and others with screens 800px tall to use this new fullscreen feature when playing.
v.0.8 - Increased canvas size to 480x800. This means more room for future improvements. Also, there are more enemies on the screen at a time, and I made a few other tweaks here and there. Next up is power-ups, new enemies, and new levels. Further down the line will be mouse controls, and an actual menu interface.
