Overview
Allows Praat to open media on a page
This extension allows Praat (a popular phonetics application - http://praat.org) to be integrated with Google Chrome. Although intended primarily for use with LaBB-CAT (a browser-based speech annotation store - https://labbcat.canterbury.ac.nz), it will work with any website which uses the HTML5 audio tag to play WAV or MP3 recordings. On such pages, a Praat icon is displayed, and clicking it reveals a list of audio files accessible from the page. Clicking one of the files opens it in Praat. This extension was not developed by the developers of Praat, and does not include Praat itself. In order to use the extension successfully, you much first install Praat separately. This is free open source software, the source code is available here: https://github.com/nzilbb/jsendpraat
