Overview
Open the current tab as a popup window.
Visit https://ht0.de/open-as-popup.html for more details about Open-as-Popup. This is a really simple extension for the Google Chrome browser. It adds a button to the toolbar, a context menu entry and a keyboard shortcut that allows you to move a tab to a new popup window. A popup window is a window without the navigation and the tab bar, so it will use much less vertical space. Because there is no toolbar visible inside a popup window, you need to use the context menu or the keyboard shortcut to move it back to a normal window if you want to. It will then try to attach it back to the window it earlier was detached from, and if this fails, for example because the window was meanwhile closed, it will attach it to the last focused window. Does anyone know how to hide the actual title bar (the bar with the window name and maximize and minimize button etc) once i've opened a page as a popup? I've tried using autohotkey with WinSet, Style, -0xC00000, A but at least with a youtube page, there remains a title bar at the top, I think this is something to do with chrome rather than windows, as it works on some other programs like notepad etc, it's kinda funky on file explorer tho

Excellent tool making it possible to watch my corporate GoogleChat threads without the overhead of a full browser window.
