If you need an additional encoding that's not included, send a note in the comments. Specify the exact one you need according to the IANA character set naming (http://www.iana.org/assignments/character-sets/character-sets.xhtml) and we can add it for you.

I downloaded this Extension because, as of Google Chrome 55 (I guess), my I've been having problems reading my offline "WYSIWYG-compatible" HTML files. (They're producing garbage characters and the like.) However... this Extension doesn't do anything for files you're trying to view which are on your hard drive or network. It ONLY works on live websites... most likely for the same reasons that the "Set Character Encoding" Extension doesn't work with offline files. I also can't tell if it's ... Show more
