Have full-control over noisy tabs (active tab, all tabs, all other tabs, and more) with keyboard shortcut support
This extension offers full control over muting, unmuting browser tabs, or closing noisy tabs. When a tab is muted, although it can still play video and audio streams silently. This way your work cannot get interrupted by sudden unexpected noises generated by browser tabs especially those generated by ads and banners. This is particularly useful if you are in a meeting or have an online conference going on. This extension allows you to mute and unmute tabs with a single click. The extension uses a nonpersistent background script which means it does not use any resource unless it is being used by the user.
1. Mute Tab
2. Mute Other Tabs in This Window
3. Mute Tabs in Other Windows
4. Mute All Other Tabs
5. Mute All Incognito Tabs
6. Monitor new Tabs and Mute them
This extension can toggle the muting state of the currently active tab, tabs in the current window, tabs in other windows, and all tabs except the active one. You can either mute and stop muting noisy tabs or force the muting state for all matching tabs. It is also possible to close other noisy tabs with a single keyboard shortcut.
The extension's controls can be accessed from the toolbar popup or by defining custom keyboard shortcuts if you prefer so. All supported actions for muting and unmuting tabs are accessible by user-defined keyboard shortcuts.
Note that this extension does not support defining custom rules to mute for instance specified hostnames since your browser already has this functionality and there is no need for that.
