Allows YouTube and Vimeo videos to stay full screen while working in other windows. Great for dual monitors.
Ever tried to watch a video on one monitor and write a paper on another? Clicking on your other monitor annoyingly brings your video back out of full screen.
This extension fixes that problem by allowing you to play YouTube or Vimeo videos in full screen while working in other windows.
To put a video in full screen, click on the "Full screen" button in the address bar near the top right corner. To exit full screen, simply click on the same button.
Release notes:
Version 1.3: Embedded videos and Russian language support.
Version 2.0: Embedded videos now move in to full screen faster. Instructions have been added to show how to reach "true" full screen.
Version 2.1: The instructions for how to take the video into full screen now only appear the first time that you use the extension.
(Expected) Frequently Asked Questions:
* Why does this extension need access to "Your data on all websites" and "Your browsing history"?
* The extension checks the URL of the page you are visiting to see if you are at youtube.com or vimeo.com. To do this requires the "browsing history" permission. In no way does the extension keep track of your history. If the page being visited is not on one of the aforementioned sites, it checks the pages content for any embedded videos, thus the need for the "data on all websites" permission. This extension is completely open-source under the Apache 2.0 license if you would like to view the source code yourself :-)
* Can you add support for more websites?
* I would be glad to. Please visit the Extension Support link located to the right of this page. On that page click "New issue" so your request can be tracked and prioritized.
