To connect the App, start by selecting your document in Google Docs. Go to the More > Open with > Connect more Apps and search for PDFfiller. Click Connect on the PDFfiller App to add it. To use the PDFfiller Google App, simply select a supported document in Google Drive, then click More > Open With > PDFfiller. A writable version of the PDF will instantly open in the PDFfiller editor. Take advantage of PDFfiller’s powerful tools to make PDF documents writable.
To add text, choose the "Text" button and start typing. You can place the text anywhere in the document by moving the text box. To change the font type, click the box with the current font name on the formatting toolbar and choose from the dropdown menu. You can change the font size by clicking the number right next to the font and selecting from the dropdown list. To underline your text, to make it bold or italic, use the "U", "B", and "I" icons. To change the text color, click the color box on the right of the font tools and select the color you want. You can easily remove what you have written by clicking the trash can icon above the text box.
To add writable fields, click the “Add Fillable Fields” tab on the right; there you will be able to create checkboxes and fillable fields for text, numbers, signatures, dates, and photos.
To add a writable field for text, click the “Text” button and then click anywhere in the document where you would like to place it. You can change dimensions of the text field dragging its corners or edges; to change the field’s position, drag the field itself. Using the same simple techniques, you can change the size and position of any other fillable field. You can preset the format of the text including its font, size, and color using our handy formatting tools. The “Advanced” options give you possibility to center the text in the field or align it left, right, top, or bottom. Every time somebody writes in the field, it will look just the way you customized it.
In addition, you can make any writable field a required field; just mark the “Required field” checkbox, and a red asterisk will appear in the top right corner of the field indicating that it must be filled.
Further, you can set the order in which the fields should be written in. Click the “Order” tab and drag the fields’ thumbnails putting them in any order you want. Every time somebody fills a field in your PDF form, a hint will appear with the “Next” button. You can define which field is going to be next to fill when the this button is clicked.
Finally, you can remove any field, simply click on it and then click the trash can icon that will appear above it.
