A browser extension for data collection in the context of LOIS project.
LOIS stands for Late-teenagers Online Information Search, and is a research project funded by the Swiss National Research Foundation (www.snf.ch) and led by prof. Luca Botturi and Silvia Giordano of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southers Switzerland (SUPSI; www.supsi.ch) in collaboration with Pädagogischen Hochschule Schwyz (PHSZ). LOIS' goal is to educate future generations to benefit from the web, and also to design better information services. By installing and activating the LOIS Browser Extension (LOIS-BE) you agree to sharing your navigation history data with LOIS researchers. Navigation history data include the URLs, search queries and other browser actions, such as opening and closing tabs. Such data will be collected only when the browser extension is active; you can pause and resume the data collection at any time. Navigation history data are anonymously collected, and we will not be able to connect it with your name and identity; they will be used for statistical analyses, and any commercial use is excluded. For any further information or concern, please contact luca.botturi@supsi.ch.
