Adds the translation of each individual word (or n word sequence) below the original word in web pages, subtitles, and books.
With the help of this extension a child can learn English (or other languages) by reading English (or other language text) on web pages, .pdf files, or Amazon Kindle e-books, for example. By placing your mouse pointer over a word on a translated page the web browser speaks the word out loud. This helps a child learn pronunciation. This extension can translate copied text and subtitles. This extension adds the translation of each individual word (and word sequence) below the original word in text translations and video subtitle translations. By placing your mouse pointer over a translation the original text is highlighted in blue. See a demo at https://q-trajectory.com. The "Learn from Translations" app is a great present. The app uses the Google Translate service. For a long time Google has offered Google Cloud users a monthly credit that can be used to translate about 150 pages for free. (free translation every month). See up to date pricing at https://cloud.google.com/translate/pricing
Subtitles need to be downloaded in .srt format. The app tried to add Youtube subtitles automatically, however this functionality may stop working at any time since it's not officially supported by YouTube.
