Compared to other Chrome dictionary look up extensions, this one's primary goal is to make it easier and quicker to look up words. Transitioning from Firefox with the "Wiktionary and Google Translate" add-on to Chrome, I was looking for an extension that performed quick dictionary look ups. One thing that annoyed me about the Chrome look up extensions, is the fact that you need to select text in order to look up a word, making it near impossible to look up words that occur in links! This extension fixes that by letting you simply hover over the word of interest, before pressing <CTRL> + <SHIFT> to trigger the look up.
- In the inline window it is possible to continue navigating to other word definitions, to get a better understanding of the word.
- It is also possible to look up multi-word phrases by marking the phrase with the cursor before clicking <CTRL> + <SHIFT>.
- Supports any language and any word (using the Latin alphabet), as long as there is a Wiktionary entry for that word!
