Overview

Opens the "Search google for" search in a background tab.

This extension makes the new tab, that are opened by "Search google for" , open in the background instead of the foreground. It should now work for latest versions of Chrome. ### Important ### If it doesn't work. Go to the options page and follow the instructions. Make sure you have updated to version 0.0.7. Found this as I was searching for a replacement for a prior extension that will die when Manifest v.3 is mandated, works perfectly and if for whatever reason you've altered how the search expression is relayed to Google this extension will easily handle that.

Works great on Chrome 122 with extension version 0.0.7. Follow the directions on the extension's options page.

It doesn't seem to work with modern versions of Chrome, even when following the instructions on how to fix the regex.
