Turn Figma frames into a Google Slides presentation
Convert Figma frames into a Google Slides presentation, automatically.
- How does it work?
After installing the extension, open a Figma file, and look for a play button on the toolbar. Click on it, and follow the steps in the pop up that will appear to complete the first-time setup.
To create a new presentation, click on the play button, create a new Google Slides presentation, and copy and paste the link in the input within the pop up. Keep in mind that the extension will replace any existing slides, and that they will be ordered from top to bottom in your Figma hierarchy.
Depending on the size of your Figma file (and the number of frames to be converted), it may take several minutes to complete.
- How was the extension made?
I wrote an insightful article in Medium about how I built this extension which you can read here: https://medium.com/women-make/building-a-chrome-extension-to-convert-from-figma-to-google-slides-b98de6603c43
The source code of the entire extension (as well as a minified version of it in PHP) is available in GitHub: https://github.com/alyssaxuu/figma-to-google-slides
