Quickly read your Feedbin Starred and other stars, hearts, and favorites from around the Web.
NEW in the Chrome Web Store! Quickly read your stars, hearts, and favorites from around the Web!
I've used this privately for years to read the Internet more quickly. Now I'm making it available to you.
Here's how it works:
You have a Feedbin account. Each day you skim Feedbin, starring the articles you want to read later. Now you have dozens, even hundreds, of starred articles. How will you read them all?
FastFave can help.
Install FastFave. Connect to your Feedbin account. Click the FastFave icon to begin.
FastFave opens a handful* of your Feedbin starred articles in separate tabs. When you close the first tab, FastFave unstars (deletes) it from Feedbin and opens another article for you. As you work your way through the tabs -- reading, skimming, scrolling -- every time you close an article, FastFave opens another tab.
You never wait for page loads. While you read the first article, the other tabs load in the background.
You never overwhelm your browser or Internet connection with dozens of tabs.
You see the full article in your browser, not just a preview or summary. You can read or skim (or skip!) much faster on a full screen.
Keep your fingers on Cmd-W because you'll be closing tabs quickly! You'll read your favorite articles faster than ever.
No need to unstar the articles in Feedbin because FastFave does it for you.
If FastFave opens a tab that you want to *keep* in Feedbin, press Cmd-Ctrl-W to keep it saved.**
Click the FastFave icon again to stop reading.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your email is welcome!
Support coming soon for other services: Twitter, Pinboard, Instapaper, Facebook Saved items, Chrome bookmarks.
* FastFave defaults to opening 5 tabs at a time, but it's your option to configure.
** Windows users should use Ctrl-Alt-W to keep articles in Feedbin.
