Overview

Exploros is a collaborative learning experience delivery platform for teachers and students.

Common Sense Education Digital Citizenship curriculum powered by Exploros is a great way to help students in your 1:1 classroom become intelligent, responsible citizens in this ever-expanding digital world. Your students will actually practice being digital citizens while learning digital citizenship, all under your guidance as a teacher. The app is specifically designed for the 1:1 device classroom and has a teacher view and a student view with real-time collaboration amongst participants. As the teacher, you invite your students to the lessons, and teach them in the face-to-face or flipped classroom. You get embedded teacher notes for how to conduct the learning experience. Students brainstorm, post thoughts and images, take polls, answer questions and more. With Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship on Exploros, all students have a voice in the 1:1 device classroom. You can see student input in real-time and use it to hold discussions, teach aspects of digital citizenship using examples, and more. After implementing a Common Sense Education learning experience on Exploros in his classroom, one teacher proclaimed, “This is a great way to teach the content, engage students, and make the ‘digital’ conversation a reality when they have to exercise good digital citizenship.” But why not find out for yourself? The content is good but the digital classroom needs a lot of work. There are few options for control for teachers and the interface could be more intuitive and less clunky, and it should allow for better use of student data. Overall it is useful it terms of content but not very useful as a digital classroom tool.
