An interactive collection of the best mountain biking trails in the Boulder/Denver area of Colorado.
Choose from dozens of single-track mountain biking trails on a map of the Boulder/Denver area of Colorado. Each trail has a separate map, and some also have a virtual tour, which shows the best route through often complicated trail complexes, with downhills and climbs in the right sequence for the most thrilling ride. Sections of the Colorado Trail between Denver and Breckenridge are split out in such a way that every mile open to bikes can comfortably be ridden without missing any of what is arguably the best single-track in the area. Brief descriptions, which include difficulty ratings and ride times, provide insights into what to expect when riding a trail for the first time, and when to ride it. Every trail has a link to an official website, as well as driving directions that show the way to all of the main trail heads, and in some cases multiple secondary access points.
1/25/2015: Added new trails and upgraded others to include satellite imagery, improved elevation profiles, and animations of recommended routes.
5/14/2013: Driving directions are now displayed to multiple access points, for those trails that have them, in one window. Some results are heavily modified, not only by reducing routing errors, but also by adding roads and parking areas that are not mapped, and providing notes to help find the trail.
