Becoming Being: By Richard D. York
Acrylic and charcoal and paper on canvas. I am celebrating the paradox of becoming and being, in this painting, as not being mutually exclusive of each other, but rather existing for each other.
Richard D. York is a citizen of Cherokee Nation with an MFA in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies. He lives in Sequoyah County of Cherokee Nation with his wife Rini and three children.
