AdHealth

This extension records the ads you have seen on Facebook, and calculates your AdHealth based on the food ads you have seen.

AdHealth is a browser extension app that keeps track of the advertisements you see on Facebook, and determines your AdHealth rating based on what types of advertisements you often see. It was created at the University of Auckland as part of a study into the effects of food advertising on Facebook. AdHealth collects anonomyous data about your exposure to advertising on Facebook, and uses this information to calculate your AdHealth score. Your AdHealth score is shown to you by the color of the circle in your browser window. The information gathered using the app will be used as part of a study into the effects of unhealthy food advertising on social media. We are particularly interested in the targeting of unhleathy food advertisements to Facebook users. AdHealth is currently available on the Google Chrome Web Store and will be coming soon to Mozilla Firefox.
