This hides your true identity from the sender and protects you from spam. If later on you don't want to receive emails from them anymore, you can disable or delete your address and be done with them! This service used to work but for the past year it's been completely down. Emails will no longer come through, they've been inactive on twitter for 3 years and they no longer respond to their support email.
